•His mother died while kitting, as she was very weak at that time. His sister also died a few weeks after they were born. His father, who had never been particularly father-ly to begin with, became increasing withdrawn, and died during the Plague. Fading Echo was left with his only other family members, Swooping Owl and Shadowed Fog, who shared his father, making them his half-siblings.
•Him and Long Spider always had a special relationship, and the became mates after they became full prey-hunters and cave-guards.
